When my father opened PoolCo in 1979, who would have thought that 30 years later, I would be still installing pools and spas in southern Illinois. Being in retail has been both challenging and rewarding. We have seen a lot in our 30 years. We are now putting pools in the yards of grandchildren of folks we installed pools for way back when....It's quite gratifying to drive around in southern Illinois and see so many of our pools being enjoyed in the area. We so look forward to seeing our PoolCo friends and families every year when they come in to our store to start the pool season with us.

My family didn't have a swimming pool when I was growing up. But in high school, my best friend Susan did! We had so much fun those summers. So you can imagine how excited I was when Mark told me we were going to install a pool at our house. Even though that was quite a long time ago, I still feel so fortunate to have our own private family pool. Well kinda private. Last summer our 17 year old and her friends took over our pool. Did we mind? Heck no! We were thrilled to get more use out of our pool. We really benefitted from getting to know her friends even better. I liked knowing where she was at. Best of all,I remembered Susan's pool & thinking how lucky my best friend was to have parents so cool to put a pool in their backyard. Hmm..did our daughter think, "Hey, my parents are pretty cool..."?

I am 19 years old. I have worked at Pool Co since August of 2008. I am now the manager and really enjoy helping all of our customers to better understand their pools and spas. At work I perform water tests and sales. It feels good to help people and teach them something new about their water! I have learned so much being here at Pool Co and hope to learn much much more.Oh yeah, I am way better than Rick!! :)

That's not really a picture of me. My bosses said that until I let them take my picture, that picture stays! I guess I better find the perfect picture of me soon... I have been with PoolCo for over a year. I graduated from Carbondale High School in 2000. Recently I returned to school at SIU to study architechture and design. I have 2 dogs, Valentino & Hugo that are my pride and joy. I love to cook. Chances are you'll probably see me at Schnuck's every night after work, picking up whatever I decide (usually last minute)is for dinner tonight. I just love, love, love pools and spas! I mostly love what they do for our customers. They really do change peoples' lives. With so much stress in our lives these days, we all need a way to unwind and relax with our significant others!

I am a fish out of water. That is why this sales position is so much fun for me. I began my journey at PoolCo Sept. 2005 and have enjoyed helping others with their pool and spa options ever since. My 6 grown children and 7 grand-children have fun in the summer in my pool. Murphysboro is where my roots are and probably where they will stay.

My name is James Halstead and I've been working for Pool-Co for 2 years. I am the Spa Tech and have been to extensive training and I am certified by Hot Spring Spas. I work on Dimension One, Free Flow, Shoreline, Dream Maker and Hot Spring Spas. In my spare time I like playing basketball and football with my friends.

I am a Junior at Carbondale High. I have been with PoolCo for 3 years, helping with newsletters, stocking and cleaning displays. Last fall I was promoted to Lab Tech. I like being able to help people keep their spa and pool water balanced. I love photography. I play the piano and the trumpet. I love marching band. I have guinea pig my boyfriend bought me named "Lollie"
